“Blessed are those servants
Luke 12:37
whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival.”
Reflection
Jesus tells his disciples to gird their loins and light their lamps, being like servants who await their master’s return at all hours. The servants who do this are blessed.
Just like the vigilant servants, we too should take care to always be ready to meet Christ. Diligently preparing throughout our lives ensures us that we are ready, at least somewhat, to meet our Savior and hopefully be united in heaven with him.
This may seem like a lot, but if we take care to pray daily, go to Mass, and be faithful to Christ, waiting for the end of our lives will become more joyful and anticipatory to finally be united with God. How can you be more vigilant in your faith life?
