Jesus is praying with his disciples when he asks them who people say he is. The answers are John the Baptist, Elijah, or an ancient prophet. He asks them who they think he is, and Peter replies that Jesus is the Christ of God. Jesus instructs them not to tell anyone, and that he must suffer greatly, be killed, and then be raised on the third day.

Once again, we hear who other people believed Jesus to be. Peter gives the correct answer, that he is the Christ. We, too, can proclaim this in our own lives. We do this through living a life dedicated to God, showing his love to others, and living a sacramental life.

Jesus wants us to know that he is Christ and wants to be intimately involved in our lives. He is present with us always, but wants us to participate with him by creating a loving and beautiful relationship – will you let Christ, the Savior of the world, in?
