Jesus tells his disciples to pay attention to what he is telling them, that the Son of Man will be handed over to men. They do not understand this, for the meaning is hidden from them, and they are afraid to ask what it means.

At the time Jesus is speaking to his disciples about his being handed over, they do not understand what he is saying, for they were not meant to understand yet. They are even afraid to ask Jesus what he means. Today, we do understand what Christ meant, and should not be afraid to ask Jesus what he means when we have questions.

When we listen to God’s will and his voice, we will not always comprehend where he is leading us; instead of being scared, we can faithfully put our trust in him and ask him how we can accomplish his will. It is okay to not fully understand, but we should try to seek out answers that help us discern God’s will and act upon it. Where is Jesus leading you today; what is he beckoning you to ask of him?
