Reflection

Jesus cures Simon Peter’s mother-in-law, and soon after many other people come to him to be cured. In the morning, he goes to a deserted place by himself, but people find Jesus and try to prevent him from leaving. He tells them he must move on and continue to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God to others.

Jesus’ message is not meant for one type of person or people. It is meant for everyone throughout the world, for all time. Jesus came to earth to personally deliver a message of salvation that would eventually extend to every nation. Christ came for you and I, to cure and heal us of every affliction that separates us from him.

The good news of heaven is that we have the ability to be united with God for eternity, if we choose him and follow him throughout our lives. He will always be there to heal us and bring us closer to himself, if we open our hearts, souls, and minds to him. How does Christ proclaim such good news in your daily life?
