Reflection
Jesus gives the Twelve Apostles authority over unclean spirits and the ability to cure all disease. He sends them out to proclaim that the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Just as Jesus sent his original Twelve Apostles to preach the Gospel to the Jews, so he sends us out to preach the Gospel to all those we encounter. God has endowed everyone with unique capabilities, and he calls us to spread his message with those abilities. For some, it might be through powerful testimony, for others, through acts of service or silent prayer.
Sometimes we don’t know how we are called to evangelize. If we don’t, we can ask the Holy Spirit to reveal our charisms and thus provide direction for our evangelization efforts. It is best to start small, continually relying on the Lord and letting him guide you, for in this you will discover the great plan God has for your life.
