Gospel Reflection – May 13, 2026

Once again, Jesus speaks of the Holy Spirit to his disciples. The Spirit will guide them to truth and glorify Jesus because he will take what is Christ’s and declare it to the disciples.

The Holy Spirit guides us to all truth. He does not lead us astray or deceive us. He comes into our lives in order to inspire virtue and guide us to Christ and heaven. Jesus himself tells us that the Holy Spirit speaks what he hears from our Lord.

As Pentecost approaches, we can reflect deeply on the role the Holy Spirit plays in our own lives. How does he inspire you to practice virtue and grow in sanctity? How can you develop your relationship with the Holy Spirit and thus grow closer to God?

Saint of the Day

Our Lady of Fatima

“Sacrifice yourselves for sinners and say many times, especially when you make a sacrifice, ‘O Jesus, this is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.’”

Third apparition of Our Lady of Fatima in 1917
