Gospel Reflection – May 3, 2026

In the Gospel today, we hear the message Jesus gave his disciples earlier this week. Do not let their hearts be troubled, because he is going to prepare a place for them in his Father’s house. Jesus tells them he is the way, the truth, and the life, and through him, they know the Father.

Take time to reflect more deeply on Jesus’ claims that he is the way, the truth, and the life. Do you believe this truly? Do you have confidence that the Lord is the way for your life, the truth of your life, and in fact gives life to your own? He is God, he does not disappoint. Christ not only tells us who he is, but shows us daily. Open your mind and heart to God, and you will begin to understand him in beautiful ways.

Saint of the Day

Sts. Philip and James

Today we celebrate the feast day of both St. Philip and St. James, because their relics lie together in Rome. Not much is known about either saint, but they were both martyred for preaching the Gospel.

Sts. Philip and James, pray for us!
