Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life.
John 14:6
No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Reflection
Jesus tells his disciples to not let their hearts be troubled, to put their faith in him as they do in God. He also says he is going to prepare a place for them in his Father’s house; at this, Thomas asks how they can know the way, and Jesus replies that he is the way, the truth, and the life.
Oftentimes, we may feel that we’ve lost our way. Our path in life might meander or seem meaningless, with no clear destination in sight. When we experience this, we can look to Christ. He tells us that he is the way – the way to eternal life and joy in God.
When we turn to Jesus and ask him to provide clarity and direction, he always does. It may not look like what we expect, but it leads us to our Savior himself. Following Christ and obeying his commandments is not always easy, but it is the surest way to achieve a joy-filled life that has purpose. How can you follow Jesus today?
