“So also the one who feeds on me
John 6:57
will have life because of me.”
Reflection
Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ – Corpus Christi. In the Gospel, Jesus tells the crowds that his flesh and blood are true food and drink. Whoever eats of his flesh and drinks of his blood will have eternal life.
As Catholics, we believe that the Eucharist is the true Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ. He literally gives himself to us so that we may have eternal life in heaven with God, our Creator. When we partake of the Eucharist often, we come to appreciate and notice how Jesus is in our daily life.
We see the hand of God everywhere, and grow in love and relationship with him. Today, be especially intentional with your reception of Holy Communion and ask Jesus to open your heart and life to him fully.

| “We must go courageously on the way of suffering, whether we begin sooner or later. They may build many beautiful streets today, but they cannot change the way to heaven. This way will always remain rugged and rocky.” Blessed Franz Jägerstätter |
