Gospel Reflection – February 3, 2026

Both Jairus’ daughter and the woman with hemorrhages are healed in some way by Jesus in today’s Gospel. Jesus is the Divine Physician who desires to heal us, not only in body, but in soul. While we may not experience a physical healing here on earth, something even better is occurring – spiritual growth and healing during times of tribulation and suffering.

We must have faith in Christ, especially when it is the most difficult. He walks with us every step of our journey and will heal us in ways we don’t expect, but most need. How can you place your trust in Jesus today?

Saint of the Day

St. Blaise: died AD 316

St. Blaise was a bishop in Armenia and martyred for his faith. Legends tell of his making friends with wild animals when forced to flee because of persecution. Today, people receive a blessing of the throat in honor of St. Blaise.

St. Blaise, pray for us!
