Gospel Reflection – December 31, 2025

Today we hear John’s famous passage about the Word being with God and being God. The Word was in the world, but the world did not accept him or know him. These words are very applicable today.

The world denies Jesus and hates him. Those who follow him are often ridiculed and persecuted. As followers of Christ, we experience this at different times and from different people. Despite this, we have hope in our Lord and know that he is God. When we faithfully follow God, we are victorious in the eyes of eternity, if not in the eyes of the world.

Today, meditate on the beginning of the Gospel. The Word, Jesus, is God, is with God, and all things came to be through him, including you. How is Jesus calling you to follow and love him more deeply?
