Reflection

The angel Gabriel comes to Mary and tells her she will bear the Son of God. The angel explains that the Holy Spirit will come upon her and she will conceive. Mary is troubled, yet tells the angel that it should be done unto her according to his word.

Oftentimes, we can also question God about the logistics of his plans for us. We might think something is impossible for him to accomplish because of certain circumstances, yet God’s will still prevails. Nothing is impossible for God, and we must learn to trust him just as Mary did.

She didn’t know how she would become pregnant and bear Jesus, yet she trusted in God and told him ‘yes.’ We can all follow Mary’s example and tell God ‘yes,’ even if we don’t completely understand. His way is perfect and will come to fruition when we place our trust in him and let God’s will reign in our lives, not our own. How can you better trust God today?
