He replied, “Rather, blessed are those

who hear the word of God and observe it.”
Reflection
A woman tells Jesus that the womb which carried him and the breasts that nursed him are blessed. Jesus responds that instead, the people who hear the word of God and observe it are blessed.
When we truly take Jesus’ words to heart, not only listening to but observing them, we not only are blessed, but we grow closer to our Lord. Our understanding of him and our relationship with him flourish, leading us further down the path of holiness. How can you prayerfully take Jesus’ words into your heart and actively live them out?
