Gospel Reflection – October 10, 2025

The people accuse Jesus of driving out demons by the power of Beelzebul. He rebukes them and says that if Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? He then says that if he drives out demons by the power of God, then the Kingdom of God has come upon them. Whoever is not with Jesus is against him, and whoever does not gather with him scatters.

Most of us have experienced times in our lives when we feel scattered and a mess. When we aren’t rooting ourselves in Christ, we can easily lose sight of our end goal and merely go through life haphazardly. We need to be intentional – grounding ourselves in Jesus, letting him gather us in his love, so that we can stand strong against trials and temptations.

When we place our lives in Christ, putting our trust in him alone, we can withstand many moments of despair and confusion. This is not to say our lives will be easy, but that with Christ, we can endure. How can you stay close to our Lord today?
