Gospel Reflection – April 3, 2026

Today is Good Friday. How have you spent the day? Remembering and mourning our Lord’s death? Or forgetting that Jesus was submitted to the ultimate torture and death, dying a shameful death on a cross? As we enter into the emptiness that Jesus’ death has brought today, we wait in silence and grief for our Lord to return. We know that he will rise again, bringing eternal joy; yet today, let us stand at the foot of the cross.

Saint of the Day

St. Benedict the African: 1526 – 1589

St. Benedict was enslaved until 18 years old. He joined the Sicilian Franciscan order and eventually became a guardian of the friars. St. Benedict was known as a very holy person, gifted with guiding souls and prayer.

St. Benedict, pray for us!
