Gospel Reflection – February 8, 2026

Jesus tells his disciples they are the salt of the earth. If salt loses its taste, it cannot be seasoned with anything. Likewise, they are the light of the world, and their light must shine before others so that their good deeds can be seen and help glorify God.

As disciples of Christ, we are all called to be the light of the world. Our faith and conviction should not be hidden, but rather be made public to those we encounter. If we call ourselves Christians but do not attempt to evangelize or live a visible Christian lifestyle, we are similar to salt that loses its taste.

The Lord is calling you to be a light to those in your life. Ask the Holy Spirit for courage to proclaim the Gospel and perseverance to continue when you face trials and persecution.
