And all spoke highly of him
Luke 4:22
and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth.
Reflection
Jesus comes to Nazareth and reads a passage from Isaiah, which he tells the people is fulfilled in their midst that day. Everyone speaks highly of him and are amazed at his gracious words.
Jesus indeed has gracious words for us. He loves us dearly and desires to have us draw near to him always. In his presence we are filled and loved completely. Our love for the Lord may not be perfect, but his love for us is.
Jesus came to bring glad tidings to the poor; he brings us glad tidings of eternal life with him if we only we listen and obey. How is Jesus showing his love for you today? How can you reciprocate this love?

| “True and pure love, which comes from God, makes it recognize its own defects and the divine goodness. Such love leads the soul to Christ and understands with certainty that there can be no verification or deception. To such love nothing of this world can be added.” St. Angela of Foligno |
