Reflection

Anna the prophetess gives thanks to God and tells everyone about Jesus, for she worshiped all the time at the temple. When Joseph and Mary fulfill the prescriptions of the law, they return to Nazareth and Jesus grows up.

Anna is an elderly woman who lives at the temple and continually worships God. Her whole life is dedicated to God, prayer, and worship. We can follow her example in continual worship of God. Our lives need to be focused on Christ and living out his message.

St. Anysia was a wealthy Greek woman who used her money to help the poor. She was killed for her faith by a soldier who attempted to take her to a pagan sacrifice. St. Anysia, pray for us!
