Gospel Reflection – December 20, 2025

Today we read the story of the Annunciation, where Gabriel tells Mary she will bear Jesus, the Son of God. Mary responds that she is the handmaid of the Lord.

We should all strive to follow Mary’s example – allowing God’s will to come to fruition in our own lives. The angel Gabriel told Mary that nothing is impossible for God, and Mary believed this. Do we also believe this statement? If we open ourselves to truly accepting and following the Lord’s will, then even things that seem impossible to us will occur.

How is God calling you to trust him today and let the impossible happen?
