Gospel Reflection – December 6, 2025

Jesus teaches in various towns, curing people along the way. He is moved with pity and sends out his disciples to also cure people and drive out demons. He tells them to proclaim that the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.

There are many lost souls in the world today, just as in Jesus’ day. Our Lord’s heart still moves with pity at those who are troubled and abandoned. As disciples of Christ, we can go out and help bring some of those souls back to Jesus.

Jesus wants to bring everyone into the flock, to find the lost sheep and embrace them with his love and mercy. How is Christ calling you to bring souls to him?

Saint of the Day

St. Nicholas: AD 270 – 343

St. Nicholas was a bishop during the fourth century. The tradition of giving gifts on St. Nicholas’ feast day has evolved from legends about his charity and generosity.

St. Nicholas, pray for us!
