Then he touched their eyes and said,
Matthew 9:29
“Let it be done for you according to your faith.”
Reflection
Jesus passes two blind men who call out to him, begging for pity. Jesus asks if they believe he can restore their sight, and they say yes. He touches their eyes and they are able to see again.
Jesus tells the blind men that their healing is accomplished because of their faith. Do we have the same faith as those men? Sometimes we profess to have faith, but inside, don’t truly believe the Lord can heal us in the way we wish. Faith and trust go hand in hand. If we don’t trust Jesus, then our faith in him is weak.
Christ calls us to trust in him daily, growing in our faith. Even if we cannot see the path ahead, we can rely on the Lord to show us the way, guiding us in his love and mercy. How can you grow in faith and trust of the Lord today?
