Gospel Reflection – December 2, 2025

Jesus rejoices in the Holy Spirit and praises his Father for revealing hidden things to the childlike. He tells the disciples that they blessed to see what they see, for many kings and prophets desired to hear and see the same things, but did not.

Jesus praises his Father. How often do we truly do the same? Do we fully understand and appreciate what God has done for each of us? Every day, we should praise him, giving thanks for our lives and the graces he has bestowed upon us.

We have the privilege of a personal relationship with Christ, who leads us to his Father. God did not need us to have such a relationship or love, because he can exist without us. But in his goodness, love, and mercy, we can grow in union with him daily and be united forever in heaven. This is certainly praiseworthy. How can you praise our Lord and God today?
