Gospel Reflection – November 17, 2025

While on his way to Jericho, Jesus passes a blind man. The blind man cries out for pity from Christ, and Jesus orders the man to be brought to him. He asks the man what he wants done for him, and the blind man asks for his sight. Jesus tells him his faith has saved him, and the man regains his sight, proceeding to follow Jesus.

While the blind man obtains physical sight, we can also follow his example in asking Jesus for the ability to see spiritually. Many times, we are blind to some of our sins or failings, or even seeing the goodness in others. Our spiritual blindness can hinder us from growing in our relationship with Christ and our faith.

Ask the Lord for the grace to reflect interiorly about some spiritual blind spots you may have. How is Christ helping you see more clearly and giving you the grace to grow in virtue and holiness?
