Gospel Reflection – October 21, 2025

Jesus tells his disciples to be like servants who wait for their master to return from a wedding, for the master himself will then wait on them.

Jesus’ message is clear – we must always be vigilant in our faith. We do not know when we will die or when the Lord will come again. We must be like the servants who wait for their master to come home, being ready even at the second and third watches. If we are lazy with our spiritual life now, how can we expect to be prepared for our end?

Ignoring our faith is not a good habit; instead, we should live out our faith daily, striving to know Jesus better each day. Preparing yourself for the end of your time of earth is time well spent, because it allows you to reflect on your sins, repent, and grow in holiness. How can you prepare yourself today?
