“Consequently, you bear witness and give consent

to the deeds of your ancestors.”
Reflection
Jesus continues to rebuke the Pharisees by condemning their actions – building the memorials of prophets whom their fathers killed and taking away knowledge from others. He tells them their generation will be charged with the blood of the prophets.
The Pharisees act like they are better than their ancestors, yet they still condone the evil actions taken long ago against the prophets. How are we trying to build a better, more Christian world than the one our ancestors lived in? There are many evils that exist today, having been made more prevalent by society’s general acceptance of them, such as abortion and transgenderism.
How can we bring Christ’s message to such a fallen world? Evils continue to be perpetrated, but we can pray and take action to spread the love of Jesus. Hate and evil will always exist in the world, but let us not be part of it. We must focus on Christ and show others that his love and peace are superior to anything else. Today, be mindful in how you share your Christian charity with others, showing them Jesus’ truth and love.
