Gospel Reflection – October 2, 2025

The disciples ask Jesus who the greatest person in the kingdom of heaven is. He calls over a child and tells them that unless they become like children, they won’t enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus also tells them to not despise children, for their angels look upon the face of God.

Today is the memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels. In this Gospel, Jesus acknowledges that a child’s guardian angel is always looking at God himself. We all have guardian angels who do the same and intercede for us daily. If you are struggling to be childlike and humble as the Lord wants us to be, ask your guardian angel for guidance.

In any difficulty you face, you can call upon your guardian angel to inspire and help you through the situation. Whenever you feel alone, remember that your guardian angel is right beside you. God has given each of us a guardian angel who will always be with us, assisting us throughout life no matter what. Today, pay special attention to your guardian angel and thank them for praying and watching over you.
