Jesus tells the people that no one lights a lamp and hides it; they set it up so that it can be seen. Everything that is hidden will become visible and all secrets will become known.

If we view our faith as a lamp that is lit, it makes sense we would not hide it. The brightness from the lamp would shine through regardless, letting people see. Likewise, when we are on fire for Jesus, we cannot hide our joy for the faith. The peace, joy, and love are evident to many, drawing them to us.

When we are in love with Christ, we naturally want to share this with others. We don’t hide it away, mainly because it’s difficult to do so. Christ’s transforming power and his truth is evident to many, so when we exude his love, others are drawn to it. Sometimes it can be hard to maintain our bright lamp of faith, especially in times of trouble. But with Jesus’ aid, it can still shine brightly for all to see. How can you share your faith with someone today?
