Jesus tells a parable about a person who sows seed, and the places where the seed falls. Some falls on rocky ground, on thorns, and on rich soil. The seed grows or dies according to where it lands.

Jesus tells the disciples that the seed is the word of God. We are the different types of soil the word falls on. Do we simply hear the word of God but ignore what it is telling us to do? Do we attentively listen and follow Christ’s teachings? Jesus wants us to be the rich soil – a person who hears his word, embraces it, and bears fruit through perseverance.

How can you better embrace Christ and his plan for your life? How can you hear his word and allow it to transform your life?
