Jesus tells Nicodemus that no one has gone up to heaven except the Son of Man. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.

Jesus came to save the world. When we look around today, we see so much brokenness and sin permeating all aspects of society, culture, and life. Hate abounds, disguised as truth. The real truth, Christ himself, is mocked. Yet we know Jesus prevails; after all, he wants to save us all and unite us to himself in heaven.

Instead of despairing at the state of the world, go to Jesus. He will personally save you if you let him. This will look different for every person. Jesus does not want to condemn you or the world – he wants to bring all into his loving embrace. Let us turn to Jesus in these troubling times and put all our trust and hope in him.

Saint of the Day

Exaltation of the Holy Cross

Today is the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. St. Helena found the true Cross in the Holy Land during the 4th century, and the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher was built on the spot.

Let us especially venerate the Cross today!
