“A good tree does not bear rotten fruit,
luke 6:43
nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit.”
Reflection
Jesus tells his disciples that a good tree does not bear rotten fruit. Good people will produce good, while evil people will produce evil. He tells them they must act upon his words, not only listen.
We should all strive to be a ‘good tree’ in our lives. When we ground ourselves in Christ and the Gospel, we are more likely to produce good fruit throughout our lives. Our good fruit can help and inspire others, as well. If we do not listen to Jesus or act upon his words, we are more likely to bear rotten fruit and fall away from him easily.
How can you continue to bear good fruit during your life?
