“My sheep hear my voice;
john 10:27
I know them, and they follow me. “
John 10:22-30
Reflection
Jesus is walking in the temple when the Jews approach and ask to be told plainly if he is the Christ. Jesus replies that he has, and that his works bear witness to him and the Father. But since those people are not part of his sheep, they don’t know his voice or follow him.
If we are Jesus’ sheep, we hear his voice. We do not need to ask Jesus if he is the Christ or question his works. Our belief brings us into communion with the Father and the Son, and we shall not be taken away from them. Jesus works actively in our lives and many times, we recognize his voice and rejoice that he is with us.
Yet we know many people who do not believe and question Jesus’ motives. Even when Christ is plainly revealed to them, they are unable to see and believe. We must pray that they come into the flock by God’s grace. At the same time, we must also fortify our own faith and prioritize our relationship with Jesus, always choosing to follow the voice of our loving Shepherd. He will lead you to greater love, wisdom, peace, and joy.

Our Lady of Fatima: 1917
“[Jesus] wishes to establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world. I promise salvation to those who embrace it; and these souls will be beloved of God like flowers arranged by me to adorn His throne.”
