“Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me.”
john 6:45
John 6:44-51
Reflection
Jesus says that no one can come to him unless the Father draws him near; yet no one has seen the Father except Jesus. Everyone who has learned and heard from the Father will come to Jesus, because he is the bread of life and provides eternal life to anyone who eats of it.
We are drawn to Jesus by God himself. We can see how intertwined the relationship is between God the Father and Jesus the Son in this passage. The Holy Trinity in its fullness still remains a mystery to us, but we get a glimpse of its beauty by learning how our interactions with each Person draw us closer in.
A very tangible way to participate and develop your relationship with the Holy Trinity is to receive Jesus in the Eucharist. We are told that he is the bread of life and we will live forever if we partake in it. Another way to grow is to read Scripture, which reveals the wisdom and love of God. It also brings us back to receiving the Eucharist once we understand what we’re being taught.
The Holy Trinity is inviting you to draw near and deepen your love. Utilize what has been revealed to us and partake in the mystery and glory of our God.
