Luke 1:26-38

Reflection

Today is the Annunciation, where the angel Gabriel comes to Mary and tells her she will bear Jesus. Mary says ‘yes’ and gives her life to obeying the will of God.

Let Mary be your example in life. Even facing the unknown, Mary chose God and his plan for her life. We can do the same. When we face difficult circumstances or decisions to make, turn to Mary and ask for her guidance. She will lead you down the path her Son wants you to take.

Mary had absolute trust in the Lord – let us emulate this trust daily. Go to our beloved Mother, who always looks after us, and follow her to Jesus. She will help you trust and love our Lord more deeply and perfectly.

St. Dismas

“Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” St. Dismas is known as the penitent thief, one of the two men crucified with Jesus on Calvary. He acknowledges his crimes and appropriate punishment, asking our Lord to remember him.   St. Dismas, pray for us!
