Gospel Reflection – March 13, 2025

Jesus says that when you ask and knock, you will receive and find what you desire. If even evil people can give their children what they ask for, Jesus says that God will do better than that.

Do not be afraid to ask the Lord for things – he tells us to ask, implores us to knock. When we approach God in prayer with humility, he hears us and desires to heal us. Our prayer may not be answered in the way we anticipate, but Jesus hears us regardless, is glad we came to him, and will help us in his perfect way.

When you doubt if God wants to answer your prayers, think about how ‘bad’ people take good care of their children. God is the perfect father and will take perfect care of us – we must trust him to do so.

In your prayer today, ask Jesus how he wants to help and heal you. Lay your petitions before him and let him take care of them.
