Gospel Reflection – December 3, 2024

Jesus rejoices and praises the Holy Spirit and God the Father. He also states that no one knows God except the Son, and whoever Jesus wishes to reveal to his Father as well.

How often and when do we rejoice in the Holy Trinity and give praise to each Person? In this season of Advent, we certainly have reason to rejoice, for Christ is coming soon! In preparing for and anticipating Christmas, we can gladly rejoice that God gifted us with his Son. We can also take this time to be grateful for the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

We better come to know Christ through the Holy Spirit encouraging us, and in turn, to better know God the Father. Take time to thank all Persons of the Trinity for their love and continued guidance to holiness. Rejoice that you personally know Jesus, and ask for the grace to continue growing in that divine knowledge.

Saint of the Day

St. Francis Xavier: 1506 – 1552

“It is not the actual physical exertion that counts towards one’s progress, nor the nature of the task, but by the spirit of faith with which it is undertaken.”

St. Francis Xavier
