“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,
john 6:37
and I will not reject anyone who comes to me.”
John 6:37-40
Reflection
Jesus tells us that he came down from heaven to do his Father’s will. He also says that God’s will is for everyone who sees and believes in Jesus to have eternal life, and they shall be raised on the last day.
God wants us to be in heaven with him. To live in eternal joy and communion with him was the original plan, and it is comforting to know that after the Fall, we are still able to achieve such union if we believe in and follow Jesus. Sometimes when we feel dejected about life circumstances or even rejected by God, it can be hard to believe what good plans are in store for us in eternity.
Yet take heart, for Jesus says that he will not reject anyone who comes to him. So in those difficult moments, simply turn to Jesus in your mind’s eye and walk toward him. He will always have his arms wide open, waiting to receive you. Jesus wants us to be with him in eternity – that’s what we were made for.
Ask for a strengthening of your relationship with Jesus. Place yourself in the arms of the Creator, for he will not let go.
